Created & performed by Joshua Bonnici, an ex-Jehovah’s Witness. He was born into the religion and was an active member until leaving at the age of 15. He is a Toronto-based clown, comedian, and burlesque artist. The raw vulnerability and connection to the audience required of both burlesque and clown has allowed Joshua to combine the two forms to create dynamic and sensual performances with exceptional body awareness and hypnotic movement. 

Joshua’s Witnesses is directed by Gordon Neill, artistic director of Toronto’s #1 clown space, Sweet Action Theatre, whose award-winning show WINNING:Winning will also be taking place at the Orlando Fringe 2025. These shows are two of four at the 2025 Orlando Fringe Festival that emerge from Sweet Action, including Victoria Watson Sepejak’s POEMS FOR GOD, and Isaac Kessler’s 1-MAN NO-SHOW.
