“Who is that?”
“Where?”
“On stage! Is that…?”
“No…! Is it?”
“I don’t know!”
“I don’t know either!”
“Goodness…! Someone new has entered the building!”

Often, when asked, “If you could have any superpower…” people often say ‘invisibility.’ In Characters, we play and delight in a certain ‘invisibility’ while being in plain sight: Right before the eyes of our very friends and family, we are nowhere to be found; we are unrecognizable.

And in this game of being unrecognizable, we may discover a certain freedom of play.

And what a world of surprise it can be to discover — for yourself, and for your friends (in front of your friends, no less) — a character! To discover who this character is every day… to discover a character with whom you may travel much further than you could have ever imagined traveling alone.
