This work explores the pleasure to play and the alchemy of failure. It encourages us to show up- to explore an open channel between ourselves and others. This work teaches us to play, not to push too much or shy away but to bring our full selves to the moment - to find our open, sensitive, vulnerable, human and ridiculous quality. Open to actors, non-actors, clowns, artists and brave souls- all those craving to reconnect with laughter, the pleasure to play and a freedom from the fear of failure.

John Beale is an actor and theatre professor based in Toronto Ontario. He is the master teacher of Clown and Bouffon for the Humber Theatre Arts Performance Program. He is a professor of acting, mask, clown, improv and scene study at Seneca College and Randolph College, Character Study at George Brown’s School of Media and Performing Arts, acting and scene study at the Toronto Film School and embodied presence at the Birmingham Conservatory, Stratford Festival. He has been teaching publicly offered performance workshops in Presence and Clown for 20 years. John is a graduate of the Philippe Gaulier International Theater School in Paris, France.

Full refunds for cancellations one week prior to workshop. For cancellations after that point the workshop fee will be put toward any future workshop.
