AnyBody Can Dance Clown Edition

Think you can't dance? Perfect.

This workshop isn't about getting the choreography right or looking like a professional dancer. It's about discovering how movement, music, and play can unlock your clown.

In this playful workshop, we'll use music from all over the world, movement, and clown games to create joyful, ridiculous, and unforgettable clown dance material

No dance experience is necessary. Just wear clothes you can move in and come ready to have fun, because it’s gonna be a clown dance party.

Bio of Instructor:

Shanice Stanislaus is a Singaporean award-winning actor and theatrical clown. Her comedy-clown show 'Mail Ordered' is the winner of 3 Canadian Awards; the Pick of the Fringe award (Vancouver), Patron's Pick Award (Toronto) and the Jester's Cap Emerging Artist Award (Calgary) and was nominated for the 'Artistic Risk' award at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. She also made her debut at the New York Comedy Festival 2024 with her comedy-clown show $$$.

She has trained and worked with French master clown Philippe Gaulier and the contemporary clown theatre company, Spymonkey(UK). Before she became a clown, She spent her early career as a performer for the Flamenco dance theatre company, Flamenco Sin Fronteras

Shanice is the founder of Creatives Inspirit, a Singapore-based creative arts company dedicated to bringing more clowning and play to communities worldwide. She has taught clown and play-based dance workshops with Clown Gym (NYC), International Schools Theatre Association (UK), Esplanade Singapore, and the Singapore Repertory Theatre. She was a featured TED speaker representing Singapore for TED’s Global Idea Search in 2025.
